CONGRATULATIONS AND THANKS

to the

PTA

who held a very successful 1st Event which was a

Social Evening including Race Night

on the Saturday 7th June.

Those who attended would hopefully agree that the night was organised and full of social fun. It was also a lovely family event with both adults and children supporting the fundraiser.

Thanks must go to everyone who donated raffle prizes and prizes throughout the evening in order for this to be a great success.

Overall the PTA raised an amazing £403.00

the money went towards scenery and costumes for our Summer Project

Now up and running this is something totally new to MKC and is an opportunity for all of the parents and staff to meet occasionally and discuss upcoming events, fundraising ideas, general new ideas and topics that you feel need discussing.

The PTA will generally in the long run help your child/ren gain more from Musical Kidz on a whole. The reason I feel this may benefit us is because I like working as a team yet with a family influence. Obviously if you have lots of ideas great, if not nevermind but this is a chance for you to have your say as well as adding a social element for the adults to the company.

Your involvement may include: 

  • Organising Theatre Trips
  • Fundraising Opportunities
  • Sponsorship Ideas
  • Backstage Crew 
  • Social Evenings both for Parents and Students 
  • General Help for productions, events and Behind the Scenes

Also those of you who have specific skills hidden away and feel you can help occasionally in the following areas, 

  • Set Building
  • Sound and Lighting
  • Chaperones
  • Backstage Help
  • Printing and Graphic Design
  • Costume Making
  • Anything else you feel may be of use to us

then please if you can spare us anytime at all we would be very grateful.

If you have ideas or feel you would like to be on the committee and can help us in anyway then please contact me by email themusicalkidz@aol.com  If you know of any parent/s that would love to be involved or is particularly good at something then let me know and hopefully together as a unit we will be able to build a great PTA that enhances everything that The Musical Kidz Company already does.

PTA GUIDELINES

Please can I remind everyone that there is no financial commitment for being on the PTA, it's on a voluntary basis and that it fundraises for the MKC and Kercher pupils benefit only.

Please also note that NO special concessions or discounts are made to those who are on the PTA commitee and the PTA DO NOT have any rights in how MKC or Kercher are run or organised.

Many Thanks to those who regularly attend our PTA meetings and give up their spare time that they may have.  It was hugely successful and I know the PTA now have lots of ideas and plans already going ahead. The year ahead is certainly going to an eventful one with lots of social opportunities to look forward to and be involved with.

If you would like to join the PTA then please get in touch as we are always looking for more parents to get involved whether it be a lot or a little. Meetings are held once every month to two months and attendance is not always required.
