Well where can I start? I joined the musical kidz company two years ago in 2006 in September and my life has changed unbelievably since. Immediately I felt like I was part of something great and I knew I was going to make some friends for life! When I started I didn’t know what I wanted to do with myself and had no confidence, but thanks to the amazing staff and students I started to grow as an actor, dancer and singer and as a person. All of this was totally new to me and I was terrified, but luckily everyone was so helpful. Eventually I joined the dancing school as well, I started off with ballet and then moved on to many different dance styles of dance.
So far I’ve done two summer schools with musical kidz: high school musical in which I played Taylor and Seussical-The Musical, where I was a number of characters. They were both interesting, fun and challenging experiences for all of us. I can’t wait to see what musical kidz has in store for next year! I have also done all of the half term work shops which are great, because you meet new people and learn lots of different styles of dance. Everyone is always amazed at how much they can achieve in a week. I feel like i've made a special bond with all the "kidz" and each of the staff who have helped me more than they know to become the person i am today! Musical kidz has become a major part of my life and I don’t where I would be without it. I’ve met some fantastic people and shall continue to do so. My experience with everyone has been wonderful and I’m looking forward to seeing what else musical kidz has to offer! - India 14 years
I have been at The Musical Kidz Company for a year now and taken part in festivals, workshops and two summer projects. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with the company and the experiences I have been through. Whether it’s workshops, the Saturday classes or the summer projects everyone at the company and the students involved are fun to work with and the atmosphere is always very positive which adds to the enjoyable environment. The connections between the teachers and students is strong which is great for when we are doing group activities because its makes the event more pleasurable. The workshops and summer projects that the Musical Kidz Company hold are very well arrange and everyone groups together to produce amazing results which are rewarding for everyone, both the audience and the people involved. Being a part of this wonderful company is such an honour and anyone who is thinking about joining The Musical Kidz Company should not think twice because this family run business provides amazing opportunities for children and young adults aged 5 – 21 if they are interested in dance, drama and music. Also, with the added chance to meet a few famous faces along the way.
