The Musical Kidz Company

ABOUT US

The Musical Kidz Company started up 8 years ago to add a Musical Theatre and Street Jazz concept to The Kercher School of Dance that runs 6 days a week. Having trained at the prestigious Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, the director and founder KT wanted to plough something back into her roots upon leaving for performing arts college in the summer of 2003.

MKC now with it's high reputation and strong standard of work on offer, performs regularly in the local area whilst offering it's varying range of arts services both professionally and within the local community.

All MKC classes are taught by professionals who still work within the industry and all are fully CRB checked accordingly. The teachers aim to give every MKC member the opportunity to learn as much as possible from each class about the arts industry. The staff also instill in every member that a strong technique and ability is required, enabling all members to constantly improve upon and benefit from the professional training that is on offer.

All of the MKC classes, workshops and productions are fun, energetic, jampacked whilst always taking place in a positive and safe learning environment.

We encourage all members to give everything a go. We understand that not everyone will like Dance, Drama and Singing on the same level however we find all three of these seperate subjects enable the participants to grow rapidly in creativity and confidence skills.

All of the MKC members work well as a team in performance situations as both our younger and older members find a mutual respect for each other. All members are encouraged to build bonds between the diverse abilities and ages within the company. MKC feels this process is an integral part of what the company offers as it allows everyone to learn important social skills in a controlled manner which can then be used later on in life.
